Subject: RE: Service age for bull

SW OH
No I have not weighed him. A friend was over today and thinks his 900+. I have scales and could put him in the trailer and weigh him. My friend told me that age is not the determining factor but circumference of his sack should should be 40cm. He is well filled out and very well spirited. I got my older bull when I bought out a neighbors herd and he had no idea of his age. He is probably over 6 years of age and 2500+ pounds. My older bull is pretty much a wussy since the cows would chase him away from the bunk last summer. I have 22 cows of which I think 4 are open. I will run them through the chute in a month or so and bump the ones who have not calved yet. All of my cows have been with the older bull from 2-09 till just before Christmas 09 so I think that my cows that did not stick have reproductive problems and will be making an apperence at Outback Steakhouse soon.
