WY, OK | Had a 22-23 month old either break her leg or tear some ligaments about a month before she calved, now is in my freezer. Some of the better beef I have had but the fat content could have been a bit higher but not being fed out it turned out really well. Most years the steer I get is right around that age too though and they are always good, I think 30+ months is way too late to get good meat out of them. | |
