I believe Fleetguard makes most of the OEM filters for CNH, Deere, and AGCO. Local Cenex also sells Fleetguard for machinery applications. Cenex automotive filters are Champ.

Most of the high end aftermarket filters from NAPA, CarQuest, and Pronto are Wix filters. Not sure if their cheaper filter lines are Wix or something else. I frequently use the cheaper Pro-Tec filter from Pronto which is a cheaper Wix.

I have also used Fram and Purolator filters carried by the farm store chains around here. I'm not too scared of the "orange can of death" as Fram is referred to on some forums. Got a Fram oil filter on my blue feeding tractor right now, although you can't see it because it is inside the cannister. Got a pair of AGCO fuel filters and a genuine CNH hydraulic filter on it.

I buy filters at a dealer or jobber spring open house sale if I happen to make it. Otherwise, I just buy whatever I need whereever I happen to be at the time.
