Roaming the plains | AGCO Corp is the parent company. The brands are separate, such as AGCO Tractors.
GM killed the Olds, Saturn, and Pontiac brands and sold Saab and Hummer. The strategy was brand consolidation to refine their focus.
AGCO Corp is doing the same thing. They admit that North America is 25% of total sales.
Hesston is the main bread winner in NA. Separate all of the other brands and AGCO tractors is a very small number of total NA sales and a pimple on world wide since the brand doesn't exist anywhere else.
Take the passion out and it makes business sense to get down to 1 or 2 brands
