NE / NC INDIANA | Have a 2009 model STX 335 CIH tractor that book says has exactly 335 engine HP. I would really like a little more out of her, so I found a power chip that is adjustable on the fly from stock / 15% / 30%. At the 30% setting that cranks it up to 435 engine HP. The company that sells the chips says no problem at all (what would you expect them to say?) my CIH dealer says no problem and that the tractor is grossly overbuilt anyways. I realize that if I do this since my tractor is an 09' model with a lot of warr. left if something happened it could jepordize warr. Anyone else done this or have thoughts? Thanks. | |
