Have done it for over 30 years. Usually get done before gets cold. Did have a fair amount of crud this year. Most at down spouts and k valves. Main problem with ours dumping hot is the corrosion on the inside. Our cold dump leg has never been welded on. The hot one has been welded on every other year. One of the trunk sections is totally shot. Going to an air system on the hot side.
