I like new paint and old stuff both, it really should come down to one of two things, does it A: increase revenue or B: reduce inputs to justify itself. If for instance you could spend 50K on something that generates 10K per year and would have a residual value of 25K after 5 years, then obviously you will be ahead of the game to buy it. Think sprayer, autosteer systems, whatever you want to apply it to.
