Subject: RE: Enlarging loader bucket for snow?

This is what I did to the bucket on my 740 loader for loading poultry litter. The cutting edge is used grader blade from the county highway dept along with some snow plow cutting edge for bracing and 3/8" flat metal. I started by measuring the clearance with the loader fully raised and the bucket dumped and determining how much length I could add to the bottom and still clear my dump trailers. From there I eye balled the sides and top until everything looked right. As it turned out a full bucket of litter is just about what the loader will lift. I intended to remove the bolt on extension when not loading litter but I never do. Just take it easy with dirt or lime.
