USA | Bob, I have met him, he is not much of a talker. I think he mainly deals with elevators. I have a different fellow that I deal with. Cargill has gotten pretty aggresive beatin the bushes for grain with their farm marketers. It is amazing how far away they are getting grain at ESTL compared to a few years ago.
The STL corn market is going to change a bunch in the next few years. I have been told the STL river terminals handle about 180 million bu of corn per year. There are two ethanol plants that are going to be built in the STL area that will use 58 million bu of corn when they start. The plans are to expand the one plant after it gets started to were they will use 90 million bu of corn per year between the two of them. There are six river terminals in the STL area that dump grain. Don't see how everbody is going to survive.
