Quite a change from our flat black ground, really neat pix.. Some different machines too. How noisey are the Cats with the cabs, compared to the 1155?
The cats are much noisier but the cabs do help a bunch. From inside the cab the main thing you hear is the loud engine noise with a little extra clang from the tracks making it twice as loud as the 1155. Without a cab or standing alongside the cats you can really hear the squeal and clack clack of the tracks moving at high speeds. Many cats now have been updated to SALT or sealed and lubricated tracks. They run alot quieter than ours with no lubrication in the pins. |
