Did it when I was farming, but not with NH3. I used 28% UAN @ 10 GPA (just short of 30# N).
1st year was +15 bu/A (65 vs 80), 2nd year was +4 bu (55 vs 59). 2nd year was about a week later instead of at early pod fill & weather stayed dry thru Labor Day.
