Subject: RE: Controlled Traffic Farming

Central Iowa
I have practiced controlled traffic farming for many years through the ridge-till system of row crop farming. I think limiting wheel traffic is one of the best ways there is to controlling compaction.

I believe random traffic and uneven residue distribution in corn and soybean fields are some of the chief causes of uneven stands.
