Panhandle of Ne. | 89 day Nk 2280 gdu's to black layer and the 89 day P at 2020 gdu's to black layer, but since Nk starts counting a day after planting and P on day of emergence, allowing 150-200 gdu's needed for the Nk to emerge, makes the Nk and P basically the same gdu's needed to black layer. I never paid much attention to this until the last 2 years of no summers and have started paying attention to cold tolerence, early growth and gdu's and this was confusing me. Like I stated earlier, just wish all seed cos. would adhere to the same technique of counting gdu's. | |
