With raw litter, the best you can hope for in the first year is 50% uptake of Nitrogen. So, yes, you will have some carryover for next year but the amounts of Nitrogen you will get next year all depends on what the litter analyzed out at to begin with. More importantly, how long did it sit in the weather before you applied it? Litter will lose 10-12% of its Nitrogen value for every two weeks it sits out in the weather.
