Elkmont, AL
Are litter also tests roughly around 45-50 units of N per ton and we put 3500-4000 lbs down before planting, and come back and sidedress between 100-125lb of N and have pretty good luck. I would send a sample of your litter off to know exactly what your dealing with, it can vary tremendously depending on integrator and type of broiler or layer your dealing with. After several consecutive annual applications we generally have to drop our rate down to 3000lb or less because the P tends to become excessive. Be careful with the beans and litter and select a variety that is not prone to lodging.
