I'm not sure how to determine if I have good quality. From what I hear from my primary buyer, consecutive loads coming out of the same bin can test all over the spectrum. They have had loads rejected at the ethanol plant at N. Manchester, drive back to the end of the line and pass with a clean sample the next time through.

Determining the level of mycotoxin contamination is a difficult process as they are typically not evenly distributed throughout a load or bin of corn.

In DDGS the level tested is probably the true level since the corn is ground and mixed in a liquid slurry, making a homogenous mixture.

We have been fighting the feed refusal issue in our cutomer's hogs ever since we started feeding new crop corn. I have had two customers that had to remove feed from the bins and spread it as manure because the pigs refued to consume any of it.
