Subject: NH3 in sod before spraying

Callao, Missouri
I have a little bit of fescue sod that I plan to plant corn on next year. Can I apply NH3 now, and spray as soon as we get another 50+F day? Or will the fescue manage to mop too much up? My thoughts are that since it is so cold, the N won't be available anyway. The sprayer is ready to roll (I think).

I know fescue will continue to grow slowly through the winter.
