Why would you be foolish not to try them if none of the traited corn has been able to pay its way in your area? If you need the technology, then maybe. The past 4-5 years of data show the traited (VT3, CB, Herculex Xtra, etc.) to be basically even with straight RR corn (in this area). This data is collected behind beans and corn. Last year traited was about 2 bushel better behind beans and this year straight was 3-4 bushel better behind corn on multiply varieties.
