Macon, IL | Finsihed about 9:00 this morning, 1st time in frozen corn. Got all equipment home by late afternoon. 3rd year with no in field combine breakdowns-total combine parts bill this year $73. (Don't ask about the truck repairs-ugly).
When I got back to shop had two big puddles under combine-first thought it had some big hydraylic leak-ended up being water running out of tailings and clean grain elevator from the ice melting. Never knew that could happen.
Good riddance 2009. Good luck to those who still need to finish. | |
