South-central Nebraska | We've been happier with our Golden Harvest than anything else over the past few years. Also have planted Pioneer, AgVenture, Hoegemeyer, NK, Mycogen. Their hybrids often don't have the heavier test weights of a lot of Pioneer numbers but if the bushels are as good or better who cares. I try to be about 40% Golden Harvest, 40% Pioneer and 20% something else. This covers the major breeders this way. NK/GH beans have been quite a bit better than the rest. | |
