Agreed. A lot of the older farmers plant wheat because that is what they know and its easy. 6 months of vacation. LOL.. I am with Brian on, it will be hot and dry here again some of these days and we may loose a row crop.. I will stick to row crop after guys loosing two of three years of wheat to late freeze. I do have to remind myself that the beans will not do 50 every year here and not to get carried away. I have seen a neighbor grow 100 plus bushel milo three years in a row. Face it we may not be the wheat capital of the world any more.
