You guys remind me of all the reasons I hated and quit raising sunflowers. Add to that, being in prairie pothole country (blackbird hatchery) and being dead center in the middle of a blackbird migration flyway. Some years they took 50% of the crop.

Only combine I owned that would not catch fire in sunflower was a 1482 PTO pull type combine, where the hot tractor exhaust and dirty end of the combine were seperated by 30 ft of space.
