Subject: Wetline Questions

Manitoba, Canada
Putting a wet kit on a truck to power a equipment trailer. So need a pressure and a return line going to the trailer. The Hydraulic pump is a basic high pressure Gear Pump ive had sitting around. My question is should i use High pressure 1inch hose from the pump to the tank for suction or use bigger low pressure hose with clamps. I relize i dont need high pressure for this hose but just wondering if the high pressure hose will stand up better to gravel beating it up?? Also has anyone plumbed in a pto so it only engages if the parking brake is applied?? Seen it done once but can't remember. Im not keen on going complicated like having an electric solenoid or anything. Just if there was a air pressure line in the dash that only has pressure when the brakes are on. thanks
