Mascoutah, Illinois
In Illinois, we stole the monicker from Minnesota. We went from the "Land of Lincoln" to the "Land of more than 10,000 lakes." This harvest is one big ugly mess. We have very little done in our area and some folks haven't even started as they wait for the corn to dry down. I can say two things are certain. We are rutting up fields pretty badly and I don't believe any fall tillage will take place. These clowns as weathermen who predicted the El Nino for this fall should have sent us the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria along with Noah's Ark for good measure.
