Subject: Re: Beans in a slow cooker

Ah, time for Northern Beans and Pork!! My church where I went as a kid had what we called a Hard Times Supper where it was Beans and Pork, corn bread, mashed potatoes, applesauce, and dessert and drink. That was some good eatin!!
Recipe was simple; soak the beans overnight, put them into a roaster cooker at 350, let them cook all day, then put the pork in about 2 hours before serving. To tell the truth, I just picked out the HUGE chunks of pork!!
