| I have a NH TR85, but this probably applies to any combine with a hydro. I've always had variable speeds in the past. What I am wondering is, will a combine with a hydro roll with the engine off? I'm always worried about them moving during a wind storm and hitting something. Many years ago I saw a neighbors combine get pushed quite a distance until it turned itself out of the wind. I think it was going down hill too. Nothing was hit, but I wouldn't be that lucky.
In the past with the variable speed, I just put it in gear and shut off. So, do I need to start setting the parking brake or will it stay put? Thanks. | |
