Fruita CO | There's been 2 women killed by black bears this summer in Colorado...feeding them, of course.....old gal in Ouray was a little demented, the DOW and her kids had been trying to make her stop feeding the "cute bears". One finally pulled her through a chain link fence & partially consumed her. I read Aspen has a full-time bear officer now-town is full of them...people feed them, of course....
BTW, the black bear has numerous color phases, "cinnamon bears" are black bears. Brown bears are big boys, griz & Kodiaks. | |
