Never turn them off until corn checks around 15 on top. There seems to be 2 different oppinions on the turning off of fans. I don't, my good friend does. He blew the hot humid air from last Friday in his corn and when it started to rain he turned them off. He then turned them back on Saturday morning and water ran down the sides of the bin inside and out. I put some 20 down to 17% corn in 2 weeks ago. Checked it yesterday and it was 16 on the bottom and 18 on top. As long as air is moving through the crop it can't heat and mold will not start.
