Dust is normal in beans.

I've never had the coop worry about split beans. the crusher 30 miles away will grind & press them anyhow, split doesn't matter 'here'.

Pods they get a little fussy about. But you need to have a real problem to make it an issue. They don't move so well through the conveyors & tubes if there are a lot of pods.

I ran with the perf one year to let the dirt & weed seeds out. Duh. Ended up with a row of weeds in the field, and the elevator never complained about 3% stuff in the bin, so I lost out on weight at the scales. Haven't done that again, perfs are covered up!

Big, big issues if you are doing eatable beans, or if you have a market that wants good whole soybeans for some reason.
