Blooming where I am planted! | I analyze this data for a living. The data we analyze is what the consumer is buying at the store register. I can't speak to specific numbers to people who aren't our clients, but I can say that milk, half & half, and cream is THE category to which consumers are the most loyal when it comes to buying organic and hormone-free. Additionally, growth of organic milk (70% organic content and above) is EASILY outpacing growth of milk with no organic content. Granted, there has been some dropoff with people switching to smaller container sizes or going to conventionally labeled milk in the past year because of the economy, but organic and hormone-free milk is HOT right now and not to be ignored.
