| Minimum from the head gate back is 12 feet, but more is better, figure at 8-10 feet per cow so if you have 30-35 ish feet you would run 3 to maybe 4 cows per group thru the box at a time, and I would be open to sticking an overhead no back in at about 20 feet back from the head gate depending on how long the alley is and what you have behind the chute if there is a palp cage or what, can try it without first and if somewhat designed for it makes it easy to stick one in if you want to later. | |
