East Central, Nebraska | never dealt with a bluevantage but i would start off by asking why you have all the messages turned on and up, did kinze recommend certain messages and at what rate. for instance a precision planting monitor only needs gga, rmc, and vtg. i have seen where turning everything on will cause more problems.
as for splitting port b its been a while since i have done it but it should be possible, you would need a splitter like you mentioned. the beacon really only needs power, ground and tx. you can use the ipad/tablet for location and not send it back to the beacon leaving the other side of the communication as an out for the planter monitor. i believe in this circumstance you would configure port c of the 372.
its been a while since i have done that but i have seen splitters that have a deutsch connector into the 372 and have a female deutch connector for the beacon and a 9 pin serial to export gps to a device. before i went this route i think i would work harder at seeing if you can get the nav out to work.
it is possible you may want to try switching the tx and rx wires to see if it works, or use what is called a null modem adaptor. these are necessary on agleder displays, i am unsure if that holds true on the kinze. 9 times out of 10 when i am exporting gps to a display and it doesn't work, putting a null modem makes it take off.
these are just a few ideas you can try. | |
