Northern Central Iowa
A used 750 setup with the field IQ. might not be that much more than a 500, especially if you have to piece something together. can still use the ez steer motor for steering. Can always update later to a EZ pilot that goes under the steering wheel.
The wiring and extras can get expensive if you piece something together.
Try to buy ones already unlocked if you can for future use. Usually not that much more.
If you plan on automatic section control, using the free wass signal may not always be well liked, especially if you come back at a later time. Seems like it can sometimes shift, not good for section control.
Both a 500 and 750 can do Omni, but the 750 can do RTX also.
Omni had a 3 month ? subscription for $600? and the yearly RTX is $1,100?
I liked the RTX much better, quicker to lock on and keeps lines year to year pretty good.
Having a good relationship with a dealer, reseller or a neighbor that can quickly help you will be well worth it.
