No, it's never been pruned, ever. I'm innocent!!! lol It sits in a lower spot in our yard where the cold air tends to settle, and after last year's tough winter, it apparently partially winter-killed. Then it certainly wasn't helped by our long, long wet spring/summer that is about to turn into fall! Being an old, rugged bush, it has begun to regenerate and I think will be fine in time.
