How often and how fast you mow makes a big difference. I mow monthly and go in a very low gear to shred up the clippings, so the first mowing of the year is usually the worst one. If you only mow once or twice a year and want to fly, i dont think you want to go smaller. Keeping blades sharp will make a huge improvement no matter what. How well does your 7120 handle the mower from a power stance? Comfortable? Easy?
MFWD mowing is great on steeper roadsides, but the loader will change your center of gravity and you need to be conscious of it.
