Midwest

swampdoc - 7/10/2024 12:06 Depends kind of on what your roadsides look like. Many slopes? Most of the Highway Dept tractors here are 6145's and down. That being said, it would be the 6155 for me. There are many 6145's in my neighborhood. To me they run out of grunt pretty quickly. Look at the front wheel centers on a 6145, then look at a 6155. My neighbor has broken several sets on his, finally had a machine shop cut him out a set. If you mow real slow like the Highway guys do here, don't have sharp grades to challenge you, or won't do much loader work, the 6145 is fine

I was thinking the same thing, tons of DOT shops around here have JD 6xxxM or R pulling the brush cutters on roadsides
