Now tell me why would a company ship out a product that wont' work together?
As an example:
Nav controller manufactured in November, loaded with latest software as of mfg date, sent to warehouse.
Display manufactured in February, loaded with latest software as of mfg date, sent to warehouse.
Dealer orders a display and a navII. Warehouse worker pulls order, ships to dealer. Dealer installs, system doesn't work. Why? Because the software in the nav is not compatible with the software in the display. The display was manufactured at a different date and had a newer software revision installed. If you had gotten a nav and display that were built at about the same time, chances are greater that they would work together.
Better question is "Now tell me why would a dealer leave the farm before the system works?" But since you hooked it up yourself (I'm assuming by choice, not because the dealer refused to come out), I can't see the dealer being on the hook here.
That's just the way the cookie crumbled. But you're not just older now, you're wiser too. |
