Lots of milk and udder quality are two separate issues.
Its not just 'lots of milk'!
If she has a lot of 2.5% MF milk I would rather take one with less milk where she's at 5.0% MF.
Best is a reasonably decent amount at even 6.0% then you get quick growing calves although then momma is likely not that blocky square looking kind of cow she's likely thinner when the calf is about 4 months old.
She might get better looking when the calf is 5 months plus because the calf is eating more but that's also not always the case. |
