I agree. That’s why I gave up and just added a disconnect. Similar to today’s modern vehicles with all the anti-theft, computer modules, etc. Most of my vehicles will kill a battery with no use in the fall/winter in a couple of weeks to a month. If I expect they will be sitting for for an extended period I disconnect the battery or install a disconnect. Learned my lesson.
