Alberta
^^^^^This^^^^^, Farmernelson^^^^^^^ sums it up.^^^^^^^^^^^^We like to be done before planting and the rains hit. For us, its easier to deal with the snow and cold than it is rain and mud, snow and cold and planting and calving at the same time. Some of you all are going to say go to June calving. well, I kinda like my summers to be able to do summer things and not worrying about calving cows while I am trying to get away on a holiday or go to the lake fishing. Some of you all are gonna say well then move to fall calving, well I would not want to be a cow and having my baby sucking my tit when its 40 below, or be a cow trying to keep my condition, feed a calf and grow a calf inside me. All my humble opinion on why we do what we do, but you all got to do what works for you, not what works for me.
