| I usually set the wheel base to 140 in. or the actual axle to axle dimension, not to the pivot like Trimble wants.
Be sure the ant to axle offset is correct and says to the rear. Sometimes it helps to lie about this dimension too. Try it 10-20% longer or shorter than reality and see if you get an improvement.
Leave free plays both at 0.
Angle per turn will usually be between 12-18, sometimes lower.
I also like the motor speed set to man low most of the time.
This rig should hold within 1-2 inches of the line at speeds up to 8 mph or more. | |
