Subject: RE: Crop Insurance

Personally, I carry 85%RP plus the 95%RP eco, and threw on the early plant option just in case I decide to plant a few days early
$1,000 on hail with a 20% deductible

The answer is always the same—- carry everything you can and do everything you can to never collect— except in a price fall

If anticipated planted acres are correct (my guess is they are)
Sub $4 CBOT is a possibility this fall. That gets the ECO paid out with normal county yields. A drought? Collect on it that way.

Crop insurance is to cover my backside and not leave me exposed.

ECO is paying in most counties in Iowa in 23 due to the price fall.
