Subject: Lime or lemon juice as water flavorings

Pittsburg, Kansas
You can do the same with a small squirt bottle of lemon or lime juice and we have done that also. But the juices have to be refrigerated whereas the packets can be carried in a pocket or purse.

The squeeze bottles of juice should be available in any grocery store.

Or just a wedge of fresh lemon or lime would be the best option at home.

You don't use a lot of it like in a sweetened lemonade or limeade. Just a small squirt to add a bit of flavor or to cover up bad water taste if the water is mineralized or has treated water taste. Wife keeps the packets in her purse for when we eat out and the water they serve taste like chlorine.

No carbs. Other juices would work in small amounts but would also have a small amount of sugar. Which I personally try to avoid.
