The funds are short about 1.5 billion bu of corn. If producers bought long futures 20% of expected 2024 production that 3 billion bushels would put a world of hurt on the funds. Problem is did you watch dumb money very well? Who is the one that ended up getting hurt? A major squeeze yes some shorts are going to get burnt but so is a lot of new longs.
Could we influence a short squeeze on the corn futures?
