If I understand you correctly... what you are saying is the tree is cut off at 5 feet above ground. The first 5 feet from the ground has metal fence in it, and others won't touch it.
The answer is.... get a chain saw and cut it yourself. That way you take on the risk of ruining chain saw blades.
