| Leaving for the Dominican Republic in Feb, our 6th time there. Been to Cancun twice, no plans to go back. Went to Jamaica in August, will never go back.
Resort employees and especially resort guests can make it good or bad.
Mexico had the best (most American) food, Dominican food is so, so. Dominican people from airport to resort are great. Shows in Mexico and Jamaica were terrible, some good some bad in DR. Definitely resort dependent.
We have vacationed before when every minute of every day was booked. Now, at all inclusive resorts, we walk on the beach, have drinks at the pool, go to the buffet then an evening show. Have never done an excursion, worst day is couples massage day…..simply because we have to be somewhere at a specific time. | |
