I sidedressed with a skip row ammonia bar.  The area with the more prolific root growth is in the ammonia band.  The pic were 7-10 days after sidedressing. Sent samples to Midwest Labs and had them run aerobic and anerobic bacteria counts and microbial panel...both bacteria's were times 4 in the ammonia band, and the microbial panels were the same with no activity present.  Moisture levels were very high all season.  We are often warned by intelligent, educated, and well meaning people about the ill effects of ammonia...so decided to observe a little myself....
