Subject: Getting more done in morning or at night?

Kansas
Something I was reminded of answering a thread in the Cafe section, my dad has never liked me or anyone else working for us to work after dark. While I agree that you might not be able to see something going wrong quite as well, his philosophy is that you get more done in the same amount of time in the morning as you do at night, meaning that if you start at 6 in the morning, you get more done in say 2 hrs (6-8) than you do if you are out after sundown the same time (9-11). Personally I think he always throws that at me because he's an early riser and I'm not and if I am out til 11 I'm really not. All these years I've heard the decree "the object's to get something done" but yet if I want to run out the last fill of the planter I'm told something like "oh let's have something to do in the morning" (which annoys me to no end), but aren't I getting something done for an hour or so after turning the lights on? Or is this just an age thing?
