| If you're going after glyph-resistant weeds (marestail, Palmers, waterhemp), the rule would be to do everything possible to maximize the effectiveness of the Ignite -- 15 GPA, fine droplets, be done spraying 3 hrs before sunset, only spray in bright sunlight, etc. The glyphosate still works good under all of those conditions, with the exception of high gallonage -- however, this problem can be overcome with adequate AMS and surfactants based on % of carrier, not per acre. Also, glyphosate is so cheap anymore that adding another 25% to overcome any negative effects of the glufosinate (Ingite) and the high gallonage is very do-able.
If you don't have weeds that are either glyphosate-resistant or extremely tolerant, then there are usually other chemistries that are better for burndowns or in-crop.
