A single balewagon can easily keep up with 3 balers,, what kills efficiency is when the wagon leaves the field for "recreational road trips" and the bale chute  is not picking up bales.



A single balewagon isn't keeping up with three balers if it is only doing half or a third of the job. The idea is to get the hay into storage, not pile it up in the field. The total equipment and labor investment is what is 'keeping up with three balers'.
